It was Michael Jackson’s birthday over the weekend and the star could have wished for no greater gift than to know his children were happy and healthy. The star was born on August 29, 1958 and was raised to stardom from a young age alongside his eight brothers and sister. Michael’s own difficult childhood and abusive relationship with his father Joe is well-documented. He lavished love and attention on his own children before he suddenly died on June 25, 2009.

Michael Joseph Jackson Jr (commonly known as Prince) was born on February 13, 1997. His sister Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson followed on April 3, 1998. Their mother was former nurse Debbie Rowe, who was briefly MJ’s wife until they divorced in 1999 and she signed over sole custody for $8million.

Jackson’s second son, Prince Michael Jackson II (commonly known as Blanket) was born on February 21, 2002, to an unknown surrogate mother. These days he goes by the name ‘Bigi.’

Two of the siblings maintain high-profile social media lives while one is virtually a recluse.

Bigi Jackson (who is on the far left in the picture below) turned 18 last year and prefers to avoid the limelight.

His sister posted on his birthday, saying she was “proud of the handsome, intelligent, insightful, kind and funny young man he has become. He likes privacy so that’s all I have to say.”

It was reported that upon achieving legal adulthood and independence, Bigi purchased a $2.6million mansion in Calabasas, California. The small city, just outside central Los Angeles, is home to the Kardashians, Will Smith, Drake and Justin Bieber.

Bigi’s older siblings are happy to be in the public eye, with Paris, in particular, building. thriving career as a model, actress and singer-songwriter.

Their close bond is reflected in photographs and the frequent tributes they pay each other.

Earlier this year, Prince wished Paris a happy birthday on April 3 and said: “It’s crazy to think that you’re my sister. You’ve grown and learned so much and I couldn’t be prouder of the woman you are and the path you’re going down. Keep doin what you’re doin you’re so awesome and I hope you have a great day!”

He also referred to their “duality, the yin and the yang,” while she sometimes refers to the two of them as spiritual “twins.”

She has been busy for the past few years establishing herself as a recording artist, starting in the duo The Sound Flowers with musician, singer and on-off partner Gabriel Glenn since 2018. Last year, she also signed a solo record deal and released her debut single Wilted and album Let Down to critical acclaim.
